I am looking for a wireless router that can provide the best quality sound while I am on a Voip call and browsing over the net.

Hi, I have two huge files (ISO files) on a laptop which I need to transfer to another laptop. The files are each over 8GB in size so I can’t use my flash drive or cds (I don’t have any around). Is there a way I can hook up the two laptops with an ethernet cable and transfer the files? What are the actual steps I need to follow?

I already know that verizon doesn’t offer it. But what companies offer high-quality VoIP phone service?

Hey! I brought an xbox for xmas and i have an orange livebox. I have connected an ethernet cable into port 2 on the livebox and connected to the back of xbox. Then it says failure to conect can’t obtain an ip address from your router or modem.

I know you have to use the ethernet cord or wireless adapter to connect the xbox360 to xbox live but how would you connect my modem the ethernet cord and a low end switch so that I get internet through my modem and xbox live through the ethernet switch at the same time.

I am setting up my wireless tonight for my laptop. The router I am getting hooks up to the modem via an ethernet cord. The problem is that my modem only has 1 ethernet port which I have my desktop wired to it. The modem also has a USB port, so can I buy a USB to ethernet adapter and it will work?

Can anyone tell me the time that the first landline telephone and VoIP appeared?

I have a GE coax and ethernet combo wall plate. The ethernet jack portion is not like the common plug and wall plate design. Its jack is built in to the wall plate itself, and the connections on the back of the wall plate are different. There are 8 screw-down connections in a semicircle layout. The biggest problem is that the 8 screws are color coded, but are not the same colors as the 8 wires inside cat5e cable. Can anyone tell me in what configuration to connect the cat5e wires to the differently colored GE jack wires? Thanks!
