I have a Touchstone Telephony Modem and an Xbox 360 Arcade. I want to know what ethernet cable i need to use to play on Live.

I plan on buying an Ipod. I have to buy some headphones now for other purposes, such as for plugging them into a guitar amp and maybe for internet telephony. I want the headphones that I buy to be compatible w/ an Ipod. I don’t like using earbuds. I would be thrilled if I could get a headset that as opposed to headphones. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

Many call centers are running CRM applications such as Siebel, or SAP. They can create integration between the telephony system and the CRM system… But why would you do this? What are the benefits? Also, you can generate the same kind of integration with email systems. Why would you do this? Are there clear arguments for these kind of functionality?

I understand we can now use our computer to make international phone calls through the internet.

This means we can bypass the conventional international call services provided by the telephone companies and it will be very much cheaper.

Hi,

I have Ekiga Softphone (both the software and a registered account). I’d like to be able to call my friends’ Skype accounts. I’ve searched the web and apparently it is possible to do so (it isn’t free of charge, but that’s OK by me). However, I am a newbie to the entire Internet telephony scene and I have no idea how to go about it. If someone could give me some step-by-step instructions I’d be most grateful. Thanks!

I’m using XP and this problem just started suddenly without me even installing anything new or something that may have affected it. If I manually change most of the services to auto or manual they start working for that session, but when I restart, or shutdown and startup the computer later, most of them are back to being disabled. Windows audio, telephony, remote acccess connection manager, and other important services encounter this problem. I’ve tried different things to fix the problem such as resetting my firewall to unblock any possible services, enabled all services on auto, checked for spyware/viruses, ran registry mechanic to fix registry issues, and disabled startup items. And I don’t know if it’s related, but now my mousepad left button stop working too.

I’m considering setting up a wifi network in my parents house. They have a large rancher style house. The house is long, and the internet connection comes in on one end of the house. I know that some how I’m going to need a setup that carries the signal down the length of the house. Will I need repeaters? WAPs? They use Comcast internet, with a plain (non-telephony) modem. What do I need?

I have CCNA, CCNP and IP Telephony Project Manager cert’s along with 15 years of experience in Cisco, configuring call centers, main frames, network management platforms. I am having difficulty now obtaining work since my last job in 2006 (due to illness). Do I need a Bachelor’s degree to be marketable in this field? Or just
